 Elisabeth
Boerner is the lengthy German name I was challenged to spell
early in life. Seeing an easier way, I opted for Lisa. Elboe is a
contraction of my first and last names.
I’ve been teaching since I was a child. When I was ten, I spent
summer vacation teaching my younger sister to read. Since then I’ve
been hooked on helping others learn.
My current non-fiction writing project is a book that details the
bumpy transition young people make between school and work. The book
is still in proposal mode, and I’m interviewing guidance counselors,
educators, parents, and young people as a part of my research. If

In addition to my consulting business, I keep busy by planning Free
Agent Events, and teaching at both DeVry University Seattle and
Renton Technical College. Some say I’m ambitious, I just think
I’m having fun.
